A: To read a complete set of steps and watch a visual illustration of our patent pending service, please see HOW IT WORKS.
A: We are currently operating in Brazil. We will very soon be adding other countries! Keep your eyes on our site to watch for their arrival date!
A: Yes you can! To do so, simply email us and we will happily change your package to the one you desire. We want you to use the optimal number of letter and pictures that suits your family. All changes will take effect on the next billing date.
A: Missionaries with a MissionTies.com account simply send their letters to our regional office in their country. This additional service is all included in the monthly subscription fee and there is no limit to the number of letters your missionary can send. No longer will you have to wait weeks to hear from your missionary without knowing of their most recent, exciting news. Please make sure your missionary writes your e-mail address on the top of each page of their letters.

A: Immediately after your missionary's letter arrives, we scan it and send it to you through e-mail. It is received as a weblink in the form of a .pdf file. All you have to do is click on the link and view your letter! To view .pdf files you need Adobe Acrobat. To obtain a free download of Adobe Acrobat, click this link:

A: If you have used all the letters or pictures for the month that your package allows, you can purchase extra to get you through the month. These are found in Subscription Service Add-ons category of the Care Package Center (all add-ons are only one-time purchases). This is very helpful when you are approaching your limit each month! If you signed up for a package that doesn't include pictures, try our picture service by adding a picture or two to your account.
A: If you have picture sending capabilities with your subscription package, you simply attach a picture to your letter and send it. Underneath the letter-writing window there is a "browse" button. Click on the browse button and choose from your files the picture you wish to send to your missionary. Then click the "Send Letter" button at the bottom of your screen and your letter and picture will be instantaneously received by our representative in your missionary's country. Pictures can up to 500 KB.
A: There is no limit! As many people as want can use your MissionTies.com account. Your missionary will be thrilled to also receive letters from your family members, friends, and ward members. In order for others to use your account, either provide them with your username and password or set them up as a Subuser under your account with their own username and password.
A: Some of the material you write your missionary is personal, and sometimes you don't want the people you have shared your account information with (username and password) to read it. When you set up Subusers to your account, they login with a separate username and password which means they only have access to the letters they write. Also, you can designate the number of letters and pictures that you want each Subuser to use each month. To add a Subuser, login to your account, click on "My Account", choose the "Manage Subuser" option, and enter in their information.
A: Yes they are! The MissionTies.com patent pending process is highly automated and very efficient. As you submit your letters, they are printed out in your missionary.
A: Although your letters can be as long as you would like, a letter up to three standard size pages is counted as one letter. Therefore, a four-page letter is considered two letters.
A: As you login to your account and select Account Information, you will see a table that shows you how many letters and pictures you have available each month, how many you have sent, and how many you have left. Your individual counter is automatically reset each month on your renewal date.
A: MissionTies is a monthly subscription service. When registering you commit to monthly renewal of your subscription. Though this happens automatically, you can cancel your account at any time by submitting a cancellation request and your account will no longer be charged. We strive to make our services priceless and hope you will use MissionTies.com for the duration of your missionary's mission.
A: To cancel your account, simply send us a cancellation request to contact@missionties.com stating the reason for your cancellation. Please submit your request at least ten days prior to the end of your billing period to allow us time to process your cancellation. Refunds of Full Mission subscription packages available during first 30 days of subscription only. Any refunds will be at the sole discretion of MissionTies.com management.
A: Often it is easier to copy and paste text from a talk or a quote or scripture than typing it. This is not a problem. Just be aware that if copying and pasting things like General Conference talks, letters will be deducted from your account if the letter becomes more than 3 pages. Also, one mother recommended writing all letters in Microsoft Word and pasting them into our letter composition window. She said that she never has to worry about losing the letter that way, and she has her own copy of the letter independent of MissionTies website. Something everyone should consider doing.
A: Once you submit a letter or order a package, it takes only two to five days for it to reach your missionary. Likewise, once your missionary mails us a letter, it will reach you within two to five days. This is a huge difference from regular mail, which can take up to 2 to 3 weeks to arrive! For the fastest results, we recommend sending your letters to your missionary's current address. Letters sent to your missionary’s mission office arrive a bit slower.
A: Though we have several service packages for you to choose from with varying numbers of letters and pictures included, $8.99 per month is the most basic service we provide. With your small monthly MissionTies.com subscription, your missionary can use our service for FREE to send an unlimited amount of letters to anyone he or she desires! The following are some of the packages available:
Basic: 10 Letters for $12.99 per month
(prices may vary by country).
You can now save by purchasing a Full Mission package. During a 2-year mission you will save 25% over the month-to-month subscription.

A: Yes you can! With MissionTies.com, you can get your letters to your missionary in just a few days, and you will receive his or her letters in just a few days! We deliver every day to the MTC. The letters are distributed based on MTC policies. Any questions regarding this policy should be directed to the MTC staff. Missionaries may also pick up their letters on their P-day at our office inside Mr. Cheney Cookies. When setting up your missionary's MTC address, make sure to include their assigned mission, MTC mailbox # and District #.
A: Even if your missionary is currently allowed to use e-mail, it is at the discretion of their Mission President and only on p-day and their time is usually limited to an hour. There are several advantages to using MissionTies.com that you should consider. Most missionaries prefer to do other things on their P-days than go to an Internet cafe. Missionaries can write to anyone not just family as limited by mission email rules. Missionaries can better use their limited email time for writing letters and not reading them. And, missionaries will tell you that there is nothing like coming home from a long day of work and finding a letter from a loved one in the mailbox. This just can't happen with email.
A: Although the time varies in each country due to time zone differences, all letters that you submit by 12:00 PM in the capital city of your missionary's country are printed and mailed on that same day, Monday - Friday. 'All letters' received after that time will be processed on the next business day.
A: NO! Our Care Package Center is designed so that everyone can use it. We know how expensive international postage can be, and we eliminate most of that by sending Care Packages from within your missionary's country. For more information, see Send a Care Package.
A: Each time your missionary is transfered you need to update his/her address. This can be done on the Account Management Page (when logged in, click on "My Account" under your name in the upper righthand corner) by clicking on the "Missionaries" link. This will take you to a list of your missionaries (yes some have more than one) and you click on the "Edit" link next to your missionary's name.
